Retail Technology Group is Hiring a Director of Information Technology Near Fenton, MO

The Director of Information Technology is responsible for the strategic planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions for the entire organization. This includes directing all IT software development, network, server, & desktop infrastructure planning and implementations, and application delivery whilst maintaining strict considerations for secure communications and transactions. Additionally, the position has the authority to dictate processes and procedures to ensure guarding of intellectual property and maintaining compliance with all relative PCI standards and requirements. Finally, the role will act as an internal consultancy to make recommendations for the sales and operations team to meet customer requirements as well as the support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions.
Essential Job Duties

  • Analyzes complex business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommends technical solutions.
  • Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions and business communications.
  • Directs operations in executing production tasks according to a documented schedule that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
  • Produces detailed time line for each application release and implements effective project control by monitoring the progress of the software release and reporting the status.
  • Directs and prioritizes the work load of subordinate personnel.
  • Reviews all designs, code and unit test plans where applicable.
  • Approves all business requirements prior to the technical solution.
  • Participates on all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts.
  • Represents the IT function at customer review meeting when appropriate.
  • Directs education programs for her/his staff.
  • Perform liaison duties between users, operations, and programming personnel in the areas of systems design, modifications or trouble shooting.

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:
Must have a working knowledge or principle understanding in of the following technologies:

  • NetSuite / Java / JSON / SuiteScript / HTML / SQL / Reporting & KPIs
  • Cisco / MPLS / SD-WAN / Wireless / Public vs Private Cloud / Sophos / VPN / eMail
  • Microsoft Windows Server / Windows 7 & 10 / Veeam / Patch management / MS Office & Office 365
  • Cloud PBX & Call Center (Nice InContact) / Fonality / Mobility / Fiber / SIP
  • Security (anti-malware) / PCI / Remote Access (LogMeIn, CMC, etc) / Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery

  • Strategy and planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 12-24 month time span.
  • Management: the ability to organize & manage multiple priorities and resolve conflicting directives.
  • Information systems development and implementation.
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and tactical level.
  • Advocate for employee training & development and user training.
  • Technical skills and experience in local, wide area, and cloud-based networks
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – verbal and written.
  • High performance teams and a strong team player.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or related experience.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience within information technology.
  • Experience in the most current technologies and products used in the industry.
  • PCI ISA (Internal Security Assessor) Certification

Working Conditions:

  • This is a full-time position, and hours of work are normal business hours and days are Monday through Friday. This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.
  • Off-site training or vendor meetings may be required. Typically, in the local area.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Performs salary administration and conducts interviews and makes recommendations for new hires, consultants and/or replacement personnel.
  • All IT Staff report up through this position
